Blue-Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookie RecipeIngredients:1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Directions:Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together both sugars and shortening until fluffy.
Add vanilla and eggs and stir well. Add dry ingredients one cup at a time and mix well after
each cup. Add crispy rice cereal and chocolate chips and
mix well. Place by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet.Bake 11 to 13 minutes at 375 degrees. Yield: About 48 cookies.
