Chocolate Snowball Christmas Cookie Recipe
3/4 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup milk
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts
Combine butter and brown sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add melted chocolate, egg, vanilla and milk, mixing well. Add remaining ingredients (except the confectioners' sugar) and blend well.
Chill dough 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in center of oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove carefully from cookie sheet, roll immediately in confectioners' sugar to thoroughly coat cookies.
Cool on wire racks; roll again in confectioners' sugar.
Yield: About 60 cookies.
